Hello, My name is Linnette Johnson. I founded 5 Elements Coaching LLC (also known as -5 Elements Coaching Wellness Center) in 2015 and am a Clinical Nutritionist and mental health coach. I am passionate about supporting adults with sobriety, depression, and anxiety, along with relieving fatigue, skin issues, and body aches and pains associated with mental health through healthy eating and developing a better relationship with food, mind, and body.
Above is me as a clinical practitioner, but my journey didn't end there. I began my journey in the MUIH Doctorate of Clinical Nutrition in September 2021. Since then, I have met some wonderful colleagues and learned a lot about myself and what I want with my path as a clinician nutritionist + coach.
I have learned that I love to teach, as I taught nutrition and integrative concepts to those in recovery houses and rehabs from July 2020 to June 2023 for a local non-profit. Because of this experience and my journey through the DCN at MUIH, I also learned that I love research. So, with much thought, at the start of 2023, I decided to branch out and create three pillars-
Clinical Work—Nutritional + Coaching Sessions (1 to 1 or groups—the latter is coming soon)—I currently have two practitioners and an herbalist I have partnered with to support mental health and other root causes. Clinical work offers so much.
Teaching & Mentoring—I became a CNS supervisor in April 2023 and started Sprouting Nutritionists & Coaches with an excellent partner. There is so much to do, learn, grow, and evolve, and I am so excited to support others in the CNS and Coaching community.
Research - I decided to start this here... I started the process for a non-profit/sponsorship wellness center in July of 2021, intending to be geared around Mental Health/Intuitive Eating/HAES concepts with a sponsorship program. However, life happened, and with most things, I had the attorney I was working with table the project. NOW, it has evolved into this-- research that will encompass learning, teaching, and community with many ideas, which will be announced once the board has been approved and the paperwork is done.
I love what I do, and it's a prolonged process as I am currently working on finishing my Doctorate in Clinical Nutrition (graduation May 2024). During my doctorate, I have learned a lot about myself, as life is a journey of discovery every day, and there is lots of living to be done.
Well, this is a brief introduction about me. Since you have read this far, I hope you will stick around and see how this unfolds further. The first team of clinical nutrition researchers has been formed. More will be started soon. I will share more about the researchers and me soon.
All the best,
Linnette Johnson DCN (c), CNS, NBC-HWC, CIEC, RALC, LDN
